PRESS RELEASE
March 15th, 2007
For Immediate Release
The voice of freedom was heard load and clear today in the Missouri Capitol. The House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to approve HCR 20. Rep. Jim Guest was the sponsor of the legislation and leader of the L. A. R. I. Coalition / Legislators Against Real ID. This coalition was formed by Rep. Guest to inform other state legislators and their constituents of the Real ID Act and to work to stop its implementation through legislation.
“I was very pleased with the show of support for the legislation and the effort to protect our freedom and to stop the intrusion of our government into our private lives.” Guest said, “ The resolution passed with bi-partisan support with a vote of 146 to 4. The resolution would prohibit Missouri from implementing the Real ID Act.”
“We are a God fearing people and God gave man the ultimate gift of freedom.” Guest spoke, “Whatever your faith, God has given you the right to choose, whether good or bad you have the right to free agency. If God gave man the gift of freedom what man can take it away. Least of all the very people placed by us to protect that freedom.”
